Dr. Sarah Akello
Experience & Activities
I have adequate experience in research, lecturing, supervision of post-graduate students (18), writing grants and policy briefs. I have also been a Natural resource manager. For instance, my work experience with National Forestry Authority, the EU funded Forest Resources Management and Conservation Project, the Swedish funded VI Agroforestry Project, and Zion Integrated Investments Limited (a Consultancy Firm) have equipped me with the desired skills and knowledge to ensure excellent communication with various stakeholders like Local Governments, NGOs, CSO, students and timely reporting of any work progress. I have the exceptional capacity to plan, monitor, and evaluate the activities of a program and represent organizations in different fora. My experiences enable me to oversee all logistical and operational activities appropriately. I have the ability to identify, discuss and report issues that require the attention of my superiors. I am a great team player and proactively support my colleagues in areas of need. Last but not least I am passionate about engaging with the community on livelihood transformation with a bias on women.
